Treatment

Facial telangiectasias are small dilated vessels located on the surface of the skin. Thin in appearance and usually reddish in color, they affect thousands of people, especially adults and the elderly, and usually cause great aesthetic discomfort.

They arise from a weakness in the vessel wall and are commonly found in the nose, cheeks and chin regions. Treatment of facial telangiectasias with light and laser is an effective and fast alternative, mainly due to the delicacy of the affected regions.

Treatment with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treats thin and diffuse vessels through selective photothermolysis. The long-pulse 1,064 nm Nd:YAG laser acts on deeper vessels, causing vessel collapse and destruction with a lower risk of hyperpigmentation.

IPL-Sq® is the safest Intense Pulsed Light handpiece available, equipped with multiple cutoff filters. LongPulse®, on the other hand, is the 1,064 nm laser handpiece with long and short pulse options. Both are compatible with the ETHEREA-MX® and ZYE® platforms. In just four sessions, a significant improvement in facial telangiectasias is observed, without the need to combine other techniques at any stage of the treatment.
