The appearance of wrinkles and fine lines as we age is a natural sign of the body. Facial expressions and the decline in collagen production over the years are the main causes. The periorbital region is one of the first to show signs of aging, followed by the perioral region. Because they have less tissue thickness, they are more prone to sagging.
There are several therapeutic resources available to treat lines and wrinkles, which can be chosen according to the type of wrinkle (static or dynamic), patient age, degree of aging and expected results.
The 1,340 nm Nd:YAP laser is an effective technology for stimulating dermal collagen with a low risk of adverse effects and reduced recovery time. The 1,340 nm wavelength has a high affinity for water and a low absorption coefficient, allowing controlled heating of the dermis without causing damage to the epidermis, promoting collagen remodeling.
In this report, Dr. Guillaume performed 3 sessions of ProDeep® with progressively increasing energy in each session. Obtaining significant results.
