Active acne treatment with non-ablative fractional laser - Nd: YAP laser - ProDeep^®

This is a report of treatment carried out by Dr Ruhangiz Mammadova, dermatologist, Baku, Azerbaijan, using the ZYE® platform, with the ProDeep® Handpiece.

Treatment:

• Acne is a dermatological problem that affects millions of people worldwide. It is more common in teenagers, but it can also affect adults, especially women, leading to a condition known as adult female acne.

• Among the treatments described for adult female acne are topical or oral medications, which can be complemented by other initiatives such as the use of pulsed light and non-ablative fractional lasers.

• The ProDeep® handpiece, compatible with the ETHEREA-MX® and ZYE® platforms, works with a 1340 nm wavelength – Nd:Yap. It is a non-ablative fractional laser, with low absorption by water and hemoglobin, making it deeper than others. It allows the treatment of active acne, with no restriction on skin types and with little or no downtime.

• Dr. Mammadova used the association of 2 spots available on the ProDeep® handpiece, in the sequence described below, with the association of the skin cooling system (Siberian-FIT®). Two sessions were performed, with an interval of 30 days.
