ETHEREA-MX® platform, with the IPL-Sq® handpiece
Treatment:
The presence of telangiectasias on the face may be associated with natural skin aging, genetic factors, sun exposure, among others. The most common places for the appearance of blood vessels on the face are the sides of the nose, malar regions and chin.
In most cases, treatments for facial telangiectasias involve the combined or separate use of intense pulsed light, laser and/or radiofrequency.
The light emitted by IPL is attracted to the hemoglobin present in this type of lesion, causing the production of heat (selective photothermolysis) and consequent closure of the most superficial blood vessels.
The IPL-Sq® handpiece, compatible with the ETHEREA-MX® and ZYE® platforms, has a square wave pulse, sapphire cooling system, pulse time ranging from 5 to 100ms, 3 spot sizes and filters of 515nm, 540nm and 580nm (among others). This versatility allows the treatment to be adjusted for patients with different types of vascular lesions on the face, neck and chest, with safety and efficacy.
In the case below, Dr. Giancarlo performed a single session, combining 2 different spot sizes of the IPL-Sq® .
