Dr. Alexandre Filippo used the ZYE ALX^® platform, with the DualMode^® handpiece.

Treatment:

• The area around the eyes is one of the first to show signs of aging. The skin in this region is thin and sensitive, suffering intensely from the effects of sun exposure. As the years go by, the eyelids become more saggy, droopy, and develop more wrinkles and pockets of fat.

• The main cause of sagging eyelids is the degradation of collagen fibers. The best way to reduce this appearance is by using treatments that stimulate the renewal of these fibers, providing a lifting effect for the eyelids.

• The DualMode® handpiece is compatible with ETHEREA-MX® and ZYE® platforms, is a 2,940 nm Er:YAG LASER that combines both short and long pulses in a single shot, with ablative and coagulative effects that vaporize tissue. It is capable of creating residual thermal damage, stimulating collagen contraction.

• The patient underwent only one session, using an intraocular protector and topical anesthesia which was properly removed before applying the laser.
