The rapid weight loss promoted by GLP-1 analogs may result in a reduction of facial and cervical fat volume, leading to skin laxity, loss of jawline definition, and an aged appearance. This effect occurs mainly due to the reduction of the structural support provided by the underlying tissues.
An innovative strategy combines the 5-15/LT laser protocol (Nd:YAG 1,064 nm) with the ProDeep® handpiece (Nd:YAP 1,340 nm) and the injectable bioremodeling agent Profhilo®. The lasers promote deep dermal heating, stimulating neocollagenesis and collagen fiber contraction. The long-pulse Nd:YAG provides sustained volumetric heating, inducing immediate collagen contraction and fibroblast stimulation. The Nd:YAP 1,340 nm exhibits a higher affinity for water, enhancing dermal remodeling and extracellular matrix reorganization. Profhilo®, in turn, acts through hybrid high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, promoting deep hydration and fibroblast biostimulation.
In only two sessions of this combination treatment, performed 30 days apart, resulted in improved facial and neck laxity, along with greater firmness and contour definition. This synergy arises from combining laser technology with injectables, leading to rapid recovery and minimal downtime.
