ZYE YAG® 1064 nm in the treatment of

vascular lesions in the lower extremities

Carlos Eduardo de Freitas Jorge,

vascular surgeon

Belo Horizonte, MG - Brazil

This is a case report provided by the vascular surgeon

Dr. Carlos Eduardo de Freitas Jorge, from Belo Horizonte,

Minas Gerais, Brazil, using the ZYE YAG® platform at 1064 nm with the 3-10/VL handpiece.

Treatment:
  • The LongPulse® fractional, non-ablative LASER generates the stimulation of subdermal collagen without the inconvenience of the posttreatment effects of fractional, non-ablative LASERs. Through the fractional LASER principle, which seeks to maintain the good condition of the tissue in the treated areas, the idea is to promote faster recovery, as well as reducing not only relative downtime, but also the relative risk of adverse effects, such as post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Fractional, non-ablative LASER generates good results in the treatment of fine to moderate wrinkles, as well as other signs of sunlight-related aging.

  • Other treatment recommendations commonly reported in bibliographic sources are atrophic scars, acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks and even melasma and pigmentary lesions.

  • ZYE YAG® LASER technology at 1064 nm, together with the 3-10/VL handpiece, with sapphire window cooling (COOL-&-CLEAR® system), allows transdermic treatment of veins on the face and extremities, with the specificity necessary to ensure safe results.
